About the event

The workshop is full.  Email us to be added to the wait list.

Join Navy veteran Kathleen Mirarchi for an interactive  on-farm workshop geared toward newer veteran farmers.  The Mirarchis raise Katahdin sheep and bees in Northumberland County.

Kat will share lessons learned from her experience standing up a small family farm. We'll be joined by USDA Beginning Farmer Coordinator Michael Sherman, who will share details on programming and services to get beginning farmers off to the right start.

Air Force National Guard veteran Nichole Ditty of Sweet Amber Apiary will join Kat as we visit the active beehives on the property and discuss the benefits--beyond honey--of beekeeping for veterans.

This workshop is appropriate for guests 18 and older.
