Pruning Workshop at OHF Orchards

Join Navy veteran Joe O'Hara and the OHF Orchards team for this half-day workshop. OHF Orchards grows apples, peaches, nectarines, pears,cherries,  and plums about 3 miles from  Bloomsburg University. They sell from their farmstand and at markets throughout the area.

The workshop and pruning  demo will include:

1 Latest tools used to prune and their advantages and disadvantages.

2 When to prune pome fruit (apples, pears).

3 When to prune stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries).

4 How to prune pome and stone fruits.

5 Varietal pruning for pome and stone fruits.

6 Maintenance for your pruning tools.

7 Live field demonstration.

8 Q and A session on general orchard operation.
